Legislative and Third-Party Advocacy and Alerts
The West Virginia Association of Optometric Physicians is the trusted voice of optometry in the state of West Virginia. In conjunction with the American Optometric Association, the WVAOP advocates on behalf of its members before legislators, third-party providers, and other professional organizations to protect and expand the scope of practice at both the state and federal levels. As a WVAOP member, you will be kept informed of legislative issues and the impact they have on your profession.
Continuing Education
The WVAOP provides the highest quality continuing education in the state. We offer discounted CE courses throughout the year at events like our Mid-Year and Annual Congress, Legislative Day, and local area membership meetings.
Mid-Year and Annual Congress Registration Discounts (Up to $500/year)
Our Mid-Year and Annual Congress conferences offer a non-formal setting to connect and socialize with fellow optometrists while earning CE credits. Conferences are held in various locations in WV for Mid-Year and Charleston, WV for Annual Congress.
Area Meetings

AOA Membership
